Chile’s Subud community recently celebrated its 66th anniversary with a vibrant four-day kejiwaan gathering, which included a visit of the Dewan of International Helpers from Area 3.
Over 90 Subud members from across Chile came together for this significant event. The international helpers offered their support to the national Dewan of Chile in guiding the various activities. The gathering proved to be a resounding success, thoughtfully weaving together Latihan testing, and engaging cultural activities.
The 66th-anniversary celebration held a place of honor within the gathering. Members participated in a heartfelt ceremony that included reflections on the origins of Subud in Chile. Remembrances were shared about the initial invitation to the latihan, the momentous visit of Bapak Muhammad Subuh Sumohadiwidjojo, and the first spiritual openings and profound experiences with Bapak.
Adding to the spirit of growth and development within the national association, two young male candidates successfully completed their candidacy and were named as helpers. Furthermore, a new Kejiwaan Councilor was appointed, strengthening the organizational structure.
The visit by international helpers served as a catalyst, working to re-energize the local groups and deepening the members’ commitment to the practice of the Latihan. This renewed energy promises to invigorate Subud activities throughout Chile.

Looking ahead, all members present in Chile reached a consensus on the process they will undertake to determine their capacity and approach to hosting the Subud America’s Gathering in 2026. This collaborative decision-making process reflects the harmony, unity, and shared responsibility within the Chilean Subud family.
The entire gathering was characterized by a deep sense of harmony, overflowing with joy, laughter, and the richness of Chilean culture.
With hearts full of gratitude, the Subud community in Chile acknowledges the grace of God Almighty for this opportunity to motivate and energize the youth, empowering them to lead Subud in Chile toward its next stage of growth and development.
